This One is For All the Mama's❤️👩🏾‍🍼

Hey y'all, it's Kay! I had to write this one myself because I need to dedicate it to all the Mothers of the world, especially mine. Here is a letter from an appreciative daughter to all the good mothers out there!

Dear Mama,

I want to start by saying thank you. I could never repay you for how much of yourself you have given to us and given up for us to have a better life than you had. All the hours you worked and all the times you had to put us first instead of caring for yourself. Even though you worked all those hours, you were always at our sports game, uniform and all! 🤣❤️

There is nothing that could ever replace the love of a mother or the care that she gives. Even with tough love, you were still graceful and caring.

Growing up I thought you were mean and tough, but now that I am older, I appreciate your toughness. It prepared me for this wicked world and how to keep pushing, even when times get hard. I love you mama and I thank you for all you've done and continue to do as a mother and grandmother. You're a blessing and a role model. We love you and thank you for being you!

Now, to ALL the mothers out there. You are appreciated and loved all throughout the year. This one day this month is just for a small recognition for those who don't show appreciation enough throughout the year.

Know that your strength makes you tough and durable in hard times. As a mother you do your best and give your all to make sure your child(ren) have everything needed to survive and thrive. It's not easy, especially if you are doing it alone, but you're doing it. And you're doing a damn good job at it!💯💪🏾 The will of a Mother is so strong and so untouched. When there is no way, you always seem to make one. When your child is sad or upset, you're there for comfort and a listening ear. When you start to doubt yourself or your abilities as a Mother, just remember, there is no handbook for this journey. Even if there was, all children are different so you would have wasted money and time reading it. 🤣 Just use your instincts, and you've got this. Motherhood is the most wonderful journey, but it can also be hard as hell.

Give yourself grace and space to make mistakes. Mother burnout is a real thing and it can be dangerous if not addressed. As a mother, we have to appreciate the small wins like when our child says thank you without having to be told or when they offer to help us clean or cook. My favorite is when my son says "mommie, I love you" out of nowhere. It's the small things that show us we're doing a great job.

Lastly, I want to address the financial stress. Times are hard on everyone, so don't feel bad or less than a good Mother when you can't buy your child that item or take them to that place they've been asking about. People don't say it enough, but all children really want is your time, love and attention. Go outside and toss a ball, color together, dance together, play a game together. Children don't require much, but of course we want to give them the world. Use what you have and do what you can. Life has enough stresses, don't make it harder on yourself than it already is.

Again, no words can express how thankful we are as children to have such resilient, awesome moms. Your children may not be old enough to express it or maybe too old and smelling themselves (teenagers, thank God my son is not there yet 😭🤣), but they do appreciate you. Sometimes it takes for us to become parents ourselves to fully understand and appreciate why you moved how you did.

Thank you Moms for being who you are and for believing in us! We love you, we appreciate you, and we thank you! Don't ever forget;

You are worthy, you are loved, you are doing your best, your best is good enough, you are good enough, you've got this!

Happy Mother's Day and thank you to all the mommies!

Shine bright year round Queen!

Don't forget to share this with a mom who may have forgotten how special and important she is. Let her know she's doing a great job!

Love you all!

Kay Servis❤️
